Response to Charles Chong's Press Release on 9 September 2015 on Punggol East SMC'S Funds

We refer to Mr Charles Chong’s press release dated 9 September 2015, where he accused the Workers’ Party of misquoting him on the issue of the $1m surplus in Punggol East’s funds.

We attach a copy of the Lianhe Zaobao article dated 28 August 2015, which Mr Low Thia Khiang quoted in his speech at the Workers’ Party rally on 5 September 2015, for the public’s reference. The relevant portion is highlighted in yellow.

The facts are clearly in contrary to the statements made by the PAP. We hope that the PAP will issue a correction to their misleading statements.
