Biography
Faisal has been the Vice-Chair of The Workers' Party since 2016. His previous roles within the party include serving as the President of the Workers' Party Youth Wing (WPYW) from 2012 to 2014 and as the Organising Secretary from 2011 to 2012. His commitment to the party and its mission has been unwavering, contributing significantly to its growth and outreach.
What Faisal enjoys most about his work in the party is the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal to serve fellow Singaporeans with compassion, dedication, and sincerity.
Faisal's vision for Singapore is to foster a more caring, gracious, and inclusive society. For the Workers' Party, he envisions a future where it secures more than one-third of parliamentary representation by 2030, strengthening its role in the nation’s governance.
Professionally, Faisal was a counsellor in the social service sector from 2006 to 2010. Since being elected in the 2011 General Election, he has served as a full-time Member of Parliament (MP), dedicating his efforts to serving his constituents.
Faisal holds a Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Monash University, Australia.
Family is central to Faisal's life. He is married and has three children—two sons and a daughter. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, bowling, and dining with his family.
While Faisal doesn't boast of any secret talents, his dedication to public service and his vision for a more inclusive Singapore speak volumes about his commitment to the nation's future.
