Biography

Lee Li Lian is currently the Deputy Media Head of the Workers' Party. She joined the party in 2006 and was elected to the Central Executive Committee (CEC) in 2008. She stood in her first General Election in 2011 and was elected as the Member of Parliament for Punggol East SMC during the 2013 by-election. She lost her seat in the 2015 General Election and declined the role of NCMP.

What Lilian enjoys most about her work with the party is connecting with people from all walks of life and listening to their aspirations, concerns, and dreams. Her vision for Singapore is to foster a caring, inclusive, and fearless society. She envisions the Workers’ Party serving as a rational, reasonable, and respectable check and balance in Parliament.

Professionally, Lilian is a Deputy VP in the learning and development space within the insurance industry, where she also handles sales advisory and competency. She has over 20 years of experience in the industry and is a practitioner of lifelong and hybrid learning.

She holds a Master’s in Training and Development from Griffith University.

Lilian is a mother of two lovely children, aged 10 and 5, who give her strength during challenging times. Her hobbies include painting, baking, singing, and spending quality time with her kids.

A fun fact about Lilian is that she loves painting and is able to do so with different types of media.
