Prior to joining the social service sector, he worked with a Statutory Board, overseeing campaigns and advocacy for the reintegration of ex-offenders under the Yellow Ribbon Project.

Involvement with the Workers’ Party
Kenneth has been a member of the Workers’ Party since 2006 and has held various roles including Deputy Organising Secretary, Secretary of the Hougang Constituency Committee (HGCC), Treasurer of the Aljunied Constituency Committee (AJCC), and Legislative Assistant.
Vision for Singapore
Kenneth believes in a political system with checks and balances. He feels that one-party dominance is detrimental to the long-term benefits of the country and advocates for a more balanced system.
Kenneth is particularly concerned about the challenges faced by the middle class (sandwich class) and low-income groups. From his engagements with these communities, he has witnessed the struggles they face in coping with the demands of life. He hopes to see more attention paid to issues such as housing costs, childcare, and providing assistance to those with aging parents, as these changes can significantly improve their quality of life.
Philosophy and Passions
Kenneth believes in paying forward and wants to do his part for the community. This was a major reason for why he chose to join the social service sector.
Kenneth is passionate about cooking and eating local cuisines. He devotes time to learning his mom's recipes so he can preserve the traditional taste, and he also believes that food helps to bond people together.
Kenneth also has a deep passion for reading Chinese history and classics.
